Are you talking with a real woman? Beware of Scammers

Another issue that comes up often during the search for the Russian woman of your dreams is a scary one: online dating scammers. With every tale of love found across the seas and over the Internet there seems to be two tales of woe about scam artists swindling hoodwinked Westerners into sending money to Russian “women.”
Blue eyed Ukrainian beauty Tatyana
Often, the scam comes in this form: a Russian “woman” on a larger dating site messages a man, sometimes a man who didn’t even express an interest in meeting a Russian woman.  “She” falls in love with him after a few emails, and asks him to send her money for “visa processing and tickets.” The man – who is absolutely enamored with this beautiful exotic lady who fawns over him – sends the money.

And then the beautiful Russian “woman” never arrives, nor does “she” return his messages any longer.

Face it – if you get an unsolicited message from a Russian “woman” on a dating site, it’s a scam.  There is even very complicated scamming software out there, which sends the exact same letter out to hundreds of men on the larger dating sites with an algorithm to insert the man’s name in appropriate places.

Don’t get scammed! Real women are on dating sites to find real men – they are not so desperate that they’ll fall head over heels for anybody after a few quick letters.  As much as we advise you to keep in mind what you’re looking for in a long-term mate, and Russian women are likewise interested in more than the origination of your passport.

If you sign up with an official Russian dating agency, you can avoid the scammers – the reputable dating sites don’t allow upfront exchange of money between members.  Remember, a real woman is interested in who YOU are, not how much money you can give her or what country you live in.  In fact, often the farther away you are from Russia, the harder it’ll be to woo her, as she’ll likely want to be able to visit her family and friends easily.

Again, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!
