Hey this is a great blog with loads of useful information.
My ex wife was from the Russian Far East and came to Australia and NZ. At first she found it difficult to adjust to life and culture but soon embraced it. You must be patient and help them to acclimatise to the new environment as it is a big culture shock for them. The one thing she found amusing was the fact that shop attendants approached her and asked how she was, she found this very strange.
Anyway, take your time and keep your patience, it it worth the wait.
